QURBANI PROGRAM 2011 BENEFITS 111,720 FAMILIES
 

 
ISLAMABAD: More than 266 cows were slaughtered during three days of Eid in 13 different stations throughout Pakistan and the Qurbani meat distributed amongst hundreds of deserving families.
Khubaib Foundation of Pakistan keeping the tradition of Qurbani alive slaughtered more than 266 animals in different parts of Pakistan including 65 cows in Skardu, 45 in Gilgit, 5 in Chilas, 10 in Chitral, 10 in Balochistan, 25 in Muzaffargarh, 25 in Muzaffarabad, 41 in Haripur, 33 in Islamabad, and others areas. Around 30 animals were slaughtered for the flood affected populace of Sindh while Qurbani meat of 33 animals was distributed amongst Adyala Jail prisoners, Somalia student of the International Islamic University, Madrassas, MSAL (girl’s exclusive orphanage), Ummer Foundation, and people living in squatter settlements. Around 18620 Qurbani meat packets were distributed amongst 111,720 families throughout Pakistan. The families after receiving their share of Qurbani meat were overjoyed and candidly prayed for the donors and Khubaib Foundation.
Different NGOs including WEFA of Germany, Zakat Foundation of America, and Sadakatasi of Turkey donated in Khubaib Qurbani Program 2011. Insani Haq-o-Hurriyat (IHH) of Turkey which is the parent organization of Khubaib Foundation Pakistan donated the highest number i.e. 193 cows.
The three day Khubaib Qurbani Program in Pakistan was held under the auspices of locals MPAs and MNAs at different stations. Chairman Khubaib Foundation Nadeem Ahmed Khan took part in slaughtering of animals and meat distribution in Khubaib College Rara, Muzaffarabad and Khubaib College Haripur. A 15-member IHH delegation was also present during Eid-ul-Adha and visited different stations to share the joy of Eid with orphan students studying in Khubaib educational project.
On the advent of Eid-ul-Adha sponsorship amount was also distributed amongst three widows living in impoverished villages in Gilgit. Details of around 10 orphan children have been gathered who either will be given education stipend or after their parents/guardians consent moved to one of the Khubaib educational project.
It merits a mention that the Qurbani meat was taken to families residing in treacherous valleys to the north including Tilas and Barrah, two small and remote villages in district Skardu. Residents of the area live in penury and cling to the age old system of barter trade. One family while talking to Khubaib’s representative expressed that we cannot afford to slaughter and eat meat round the year and therefore wait for Khubaib to come and deliver our share of meat on Eid.
 
   
 
 

 


CONGREGATIONAL PRAYERS, FATIHA FOR TURKEY EARTHQUAKE VICTIMS

 

 
ISLAMABAD: Khubaib Foundation, the local philanthropic organization and Pakistan based country partner of the Turkish Insani Haq-o-Hurriyat (IHH) on Tuesday arranged for Quran recitation and congregational prayers in its head office and educational institutions for the salvation of the scores of people who died in recent the Turkey earthquake.
According a press release, Khubaib Foundation staff besides students of Khubaib Madrassa Tehfez-ul-Quran recited passages from the Holy Quran and prayed for the bereaved families and those who died in the 7.2 magnitude earthquake. The quake hit the southern Turkish province of Van and toppled 1,000 buildings which include homes, residential apartments and offices. A majority of adobe houses were reduced to rubble. The head of Khubaib Foundation, Nadeem Ahmed Khan called for Fatiha khawani and joint prayers at Khubaib’s educational projects for orphan students in Skardu, Rara (AJ&K), Haripur and a girl’s exclusive orphanage MSAL in Rawalpindi. Nadeem Ahmed on behalf of the Pakistani nation phoned president of IHH and offered him moral, material and volunteer support for the Turkish brethren in this hour of need.
The IHH of Turkey, an international philanthropic organization has worked in collaboration with Khubaib Foundation of Pakistan for the relief and rehabilitation of orphans, widows and victims of natural disasters.
 


MSAL, RUMI STUDENTS PRAY FOR TURKISH QUAKE VICTIMS
 

 
ISLAMABAD: Orphan students studying in different projects of Khubaib Foundation held Fatiha Khowani and congregational prayers for the Turkey earthquake victims here on Thursday.
According to details, female students of the Muhammad School of Advanced Learning (MSAL), an orphanage solely for girls, held Fatiha Khowani followed by joint prayers for those who lost their lives in the devastating earthquake of Turkey. A 7.2 magnitude earthquake jolted the eastern areas of Turkey especially cities in the province of Van on Sunday, October 23. Around 1,000 buildings were razed to the ground which included residential apartments and offices. More than 500 people are pronounced dead as of Oct 28 while hundreds were injured. Rescue operations are in full swing as this scribe underscores activities in this news snippet.
Similarly, children from Jalal-ud-din Rumi International School, a project for Afghan refugees, also read chapters from The Holy Quran and held congregational prayers for the salvation of those who passed away in the Turkey quake. Prayers were also made for the bereaved families.

Fateh-e-Alam youth foundation organized Inter Collegiate Qirat Competition
Fateh-e-Alam youth foundation organized Inter Collegiate Qirat Competition at Khubaib College Haripur (KCH) amongst the students of all educational institutions of Khubaib Foundation.
30 most talented students from KCH, Khubaib College Rara (KCR) Muzaffarabad, Khubaib College Skardu (KCS), Rumi International School,
Madrassa’tul Khubaib Tehfiz-ul-Quran-ul-Karim Islamabad and
Muhammadan School of Advance Learning (MSAL) Rawalpindi participated in the competition.
Hafiz Humaid Ashraf, a brilliant, young student from Madrassa’tul Khubaib secured 1st Position amongst all the participants. Adeel Ahmed, a student of Class 7th from KCH stood 2nd and Mujahid Shah, a student of Class 8th from KCH succeeded to win the 3rd Position. Similarly, Aurangzaib Asry, of class 9th from KCR was declared 4th by the judges.
Mr. Bahishti Ismail Songur and Yasir Korkmaz from Insani Yardim Vakfi (IHH), Turkey also attended the event. At the end of the competition, Fateh-e-Alam Foundation representatives M. Rehan Tahir, Shiekh Abid, Umer Hassan, Sobia Khadem, Naseem Akhter, Fauzia Kalsoom, Sehrish Ikhlaq, Principal and Vice Principal KCH, Vice Principal of Rumi International School for Afghan Refugees, Qari Zafar Iqbal from Madrassa’tul Khubaib and Turkish guests distributed the prizes amongst the position holders.

Two Clubfoots gifted with Wheelchairs
ISLAMABAD: Two children with clubfoots and deformed arms received the gift of a wheelchair which was donated by SABA Trust of USA here on Thursday.
According to details, a 12year girl Erum Bano and a 17year old boy Faisal Mehboob were born with clubfoots and deformed arms. According to their parents, due to their disability the children were completely immobile and had to be lifted and literally put in place. The wheel chairs would allow us to move them from place to place without enduring back breaking pain, the parents remarked.
SABA Trust of USA in collaboration with Khubaib Foundation of Pakistan had distributed numerous wheelchairs to handicapped persons all over Pakistan.
After receiving the gift of wheelchair joy was visible on the faces of the children. The parents were thankful to Khubaib Foundation and candidly prayed for the donors.

Raja Shigar meets Nadeem Ahmed Khan
ISLAMABAD: Raja Shigar called on Chairman Khubaib Foundation Nadeem Ahmed Khan for a general meeting at Khubaib Foundation headquarters here on Thursday.
According to details, Raja Shigar of Gilgit-Baltistan visited Khubaib Foundation in Islamabad and met with Chairman Nadeem Ahmed Khan. On the occasion, an esteemed member of the board of trustees Sheikh Noman and IHH advisor to Khubaib Foundation Pakistan Mehmet Kara was also present. During the meeting issues of bilateral interests were taken up. Raja Shigar heartily appreciated the efforts of Khubaib Foundation and IHH of Turkey for dispensing free of cost education to hundreds of orphan children in Khubaib College Skardu (KCS) and other educational projects.
During the meeting Nadeem Ahmed Khan informed Raja Shigar that Khubaib Foundation has plans to establish a state-of-the-art educational city in district Gilgit for orphan children. Upon hearing future plans of Nadeem Ahmed Khan, Raja Shigar vowed to extend all necessary help.
The meeting concluded with prayers aimed at the wellbeing of Turkey, Pakistan and its citizens.

10 Cows slaughtered as part of aqeeqa qurbani program
ISLAMABAD: More than 1200 individuals benefitted from Khubaib Foundation Aqeeqa meat distribution in Gilgit-Baltistan, Islamic seminaries which include Idarah Ulum Islami in Barakahu and Khiar-ul-Madaris in Multan while a portion of the meat was cooked for orphan students of Khubaib College Haripur and Afghan refugee children of RUMI International School.
According to details, 10 cows for Qurbani were bought at the behest of the Insani Haq-o-Hurriyat (IHH) of Turkey while meat of the animals was distributed amongst destitute people, students of two Madaris and orphan students in Khubaib’s educational projects.
Aqeeqa Qurbani is a regular activity of Khubaib Foundation primarily sponsored by the IHH and others agencies throughout the year, every year.
In the month of December 2011, IHH wired funds to buy 10 cows for Aqeeqa Qurbani. Meat of these animals was distributed amongst more than 1200 people in Skardu, Gilgit, students of Idarah Ulum Islami in Barakahu and Khair-ul-Madaris in Multan.

1500 Sindhi families benefit from Khubaib Foundation and King Abdullah Relief Campaign for Pakistani People
SINDH: At least 1500 families in the flood affected areas of Sindh benefited from a joint distribution of Khubaib Foundation and King Abdullah Relief Campaign for Pakistani People (KARCPP).
According to details, Project Manager Sindh Ashfaq Ahmed Khan from Khubaib Foundation was tasked with distribution of relief goods provided by the KARCPP. The relief goods included cooking oil, rice, pulses, tea, sugar, flour and non foods items including tents and blankets. The relief supplies were aimed at the flood affected Sindh populace. With the exception of a few non government organizations, very few reached out to assist this year’s flood affected families of the Sindh province. Both Khubaib Foundation and the KARCPP were involved in distribution of relief goods in Sindh, since recent floods devastated a large part of the rural life.
Around 12 truckloads of humanitarian goods were distribution amongst families in district Qambar Shadad Kot and District Dadu. Families in Mir Muhammad Basksh Berohi, Khair Muhammad Berohi, Rahim Khan Jamali, Behram Khan, Ahmad Khan, Sardar Ali, Muhammad Baksh Berohi, Mir Habibullah Khan in district Qambar Shadad Kot received relief items while village loolja, Khairpur Nathan Shah, Goth Laghari, Arzi Naigh and others received supplies in district Dadu.
The grief stricken families after receiving goods appreciated the effort and offered candid prayers to Khubaib Foundation and the King Abdullah Relief Campaign for Pakistani People.

1,835 families benefit from distribution Skardu, Ganche
ISLAMABAD: At least 1,835 families benefitted from distribution of relief items in Skardu and Ganche districts of the Baltistan division.
According to details, four truck loads of relief goods were distributed amongst impoverished families in district Skardu and Ganche. The relief items included food and non food items. Warm clothes including jerseys, shawls for children and ladies also formed part of the relief package. The relief goods were distributed in Talis, Thungmos, Frano, Bathung (Khaplu), Barah Payeen, Karwua Thang, Kharku, Kharfaq, Yugo, Barah Payeen. Kuas, Khashu, Shigar Khas, Wazirpur, Hargisa Nullah, and Barah Bala. Hygiene kits were also distributed in DHQ Hospital Skardu and THQ Hospital Shigar. Besides humanitarian goods stationery items were distributed in a tuition center. Underlays were dispensed amongst 41 Masjids and Imam Bargahs in the two districts.
Aqeeqa meat of three cows was also handed out to families living in penury. It merits a mention here that the Aqeeqa meat was distributed amongst families settled in remote place and cannot afford to eat meat for the whole year and only get a chance on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha.

21-member IHH-Bursa delegation reaches Pakistan
ISLAMABAD: Twenty one philanthropist from the Turkish city of Bursa representing the the international philanthropic organization the IHH had arrived at the head office of Khubaib Foundation here on Wednesday.
According to details, 21 humanitarian activists from Insani Haq-o-Hurriyat (IHH) of Turkey reached here to carry out inaugural ceremonies of a hostel and academic block for orphan students in Khubaib College Harpiur including a Masjid in last year’s flood affected Hamzawala in district Muzaffargarh. The Turkish guests will also participate in combined marriage ceremonies and carry out bicycle distribution amongst students.
During last year’s devastating flood the IHH of Turkey overwhelmingly participated in relief and rehabilitation activities. Khubaib Foundation with immense help from its parent organization the IHH provided the residents of Nowshera, Muzaffargarh, and Sindh with emergency relief i.e. establishment of model tent villages, medical care, water filtration facility, and distribution of food and non food items in the aforementioned places. Rehabilitation phase for the flood affected families soon started with the construction of houses, disbursement of cash, distribution of seeds/fertilizers and allotment of motorcycle Rikshwas to empower the residents to earn a livelihood.
Upon its arrival the IHH-Bursa delegation went on to meet President Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJ&K) Chaudhary Abdul Majid following his breakfast invitation. The Bursa delegation then set out for Lahore from whereon it will reach district Muzaffargarh in Punjab province, and district Haripur in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. In village Hamzawala of Muzaffargarh, the guests will inaugurate the newly constructed Masjid, whose foundation was laid by the same delegation last year. The IHH-representatives will also distribute bicycles among students and will sponsor group marriages of couples from families affected by flood 2010. The revisit of IHH-Bursa representatives is a chance to rekindle their love and affection for the Pakistani brethren.
Last year the IHH representatives reached Pakistan amidst the havoc wreaked by Floods 2010. At the point in time, it seemed that the signs of destruction were indelible. But the IHH and other donors in collaboration with Khubaib Foundation worked to relive the flood hit families by furnishing long term relief.

Khubaib head and Chief Patron CDA on Turkey visit
ISLAMLABAD: The Chairman Khubaib Foundation Nadeem Ahmed Khan and Chief Patron of CDA Mazdoor Union on Thursday flew on a 10-day official tour of Turkey to participate in the LabourStart’s 2nd Annual Global Solidarity Conference and UNIW 13th Board Meeting, says a press release.
According to details, the chief of Khubaib will first participate in LabourStart international trade union 2nd Annual Global Solidarity conference. The conference is scheduled to take place in Istanbul from November 18 to 20. The conference will consist of plenary sessions, workshops and cultural events. On November 23, Khubaib chief will represent Pakistan in the 13th UNIW (Union of NGOs of the Islamic World) Board Meeting which will also be held in the city of Istunabl. It merits a mention here that UNIW 12th Board Meeting was held in the headquarters of Khubaib Foundation in Islamabad. Delegates and heads of Islamic NGOs from around 24 nations participated in the conference which threw light on the Muslim family system and how the young generation can be bonded with family members amidst technological revolution influencing every sphere of life.
The upcoming UNIW 13th Board Meeting in Istanbul will discuss in detail the latest situation of Muslims residing in Somalia, Lebanon, Eastern Turkistan, Iraq, Balkans, Sweden, Arab Gulf and Bahrain, Syria, Yemen, Bangladesh, Pakistan and other regions of South Asia. Several representatives of Muslim NGOs from different countries will enlighten the participants of the meeting.
Chairman Khubaib Foundation Nadeem Khan will move to Van to condole with the earthquake affected families on behalf of the Pakistani brethren. By the end of this month Khubaib Foundation has planned to dispatch prefabricated homes as a means of shelter for the quake hit families.

President AJ&K , Director Khubaib Foundation Visit VAN-Turkey
VAN, TURKEY: Under the auspices of Khubaib Foundation of Pakistan a delegation comprising of President Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Yaqoob Khan, Director Education Khubaib Foundation Zahid Azeem and others on Saturday visited the earthquake affected city of Van in Turkey, says a press release.
According to details, the eastern Van province of Turkey was jolted by a 7.2 magnitude quake which resulted in the deaths of more than 500 people while around 2000 were injured. The tour of Van is organized by Khubaib Foundation of Pakistan in collaboration with the international philanthropic organization, the Insani Haq-o-Hurriyat (IHH) of Turkey. The delegation from Pakistan is comprised of Director Education Khubaib Foundation, President AJ&K, and his military attaché. Upon arriving at Van, the delegation was received by deputy governor of Van province. Fatiha and joint prayers were offered by the group for those who had lost their lives in the quake devastation. The visiting Pakistan delegation condoled with the victimized families for the loss of their loved ones. The delegation extended moral support to the bereaved families on behalf of the Pakistani nation. The delegation was also shown a model tent village which serves the basis for a tent village housing families rendered without a shelter.

NAMF Chief meets Nadeem Ahmed Khan
ISLAMABAD: Farooq Muhammad Khan chief executive North American Muslim Foundation (NAMF) of Canada met with Chairman Khubaib Foundation Nadeem Ahmed Khan at Khubaib Foundation Head Office in Islamabad on Tuesday.
According to details, the meeting came after the devastating 7.2 magnitude earthquake on October 23, 2011 jolted eastern Turkey resulting in the deaths of more than 500 people. Cleanup operations are still underway.
Talking on the occasion Nadeem Ahmed said, ‘Khubaib Foundation Pakistan, the country partner of the Insani Haq-o-Hurriyat (IHH) Turkey and has been serving humanity in need since eleven years catering to the needs of prisoners, orphans, widows and destitute people’. He said that with help from its parent organization the IHH, Khubaib Foundation has successfully provided relief and rehabilitated Pakistan 2005 earthquake victims and families devastated by flood 2010.
Both the chiefs of their respective organizations met for the first time to consider new ways of con ducting relief operations in the quake stricken eastern Turkish province. The NAMF is interested in extending assistance to the earthquake affected families of Turkey. Nadeem Ahmed Khan on the occasion presented progress report by IHH to chief executive NAMF. Progress reports were related to relief and rehabilitation work undertaken by the international philanthropic organization (IHH) of Turkey and aimed at NAMF to devise possible strategies to extend help to the quake victims as part of their agenda.
Nadeem Ahmed briefed Farooq Muhammad regarding its four educational projects for orphan children and an orphanage which caters solely for girls. Farooq Khan was given a presentation on Khubaib’s Qurbani Tradition and the arrangements made for the upcoming Qurbani and meat distribution event.
The meeting between the two leaders is a good omen for future cooperation between the two organizations creating synergy and improved ways of helping the needy. The meeting concluded with a Dua.

5 truckloads of relief items dispatched
HARIPUR: Khubaib Foundation dispatched 5 truckloads of relief goods for distribution amongst the flood affected populace and destitute people in Skardu area.
According to details, there relief goods were dispatched on the directives of Chairman Khubaib Foundation Nadeem Ahmed Khan. The relief goods consist of blankets, clothes, shoes, socks, and canned food items sent earlier this year by Khubaib’s parent organization the IHH of Turkey. The goods were dispatched under the supervision of squadron leader (r) Akhlaq Hussein who is also serving as the principal / project manager of Khubaib College Haripur.
These relief items will be distributed as Eid gifts on the upcoming occasion of Eid-ul-Adha.
During last year’s devastating floods Khubaib Foundation dispersed large quantities of humanitarian aid to different flood affected areas of Pakistan.

Nadeem Ahmed Khan meets Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan
ISLAMABAD: Chairman Khubaib Foundation Nadeem Ahmed Khan meets the revolutionary nuclear scientist Doctor Abdul Qadeer Khan in Islamabad.
During the meeting Dr. Qadeer was briefed about Khubaib’s five educational projects namely Khubaib College Skardu, Khubaib College Rara (AJ&K), Khubaib College Haripur, RUMI school Haripur and an under construction school in the flood affected Hamzawala village, district Muzaffargarh, Punjab. Nadeem Ahmed Khan, shed light on Khubaib’s activities since its inception in May 1999. He said, Khubaib Foundation is working for the rehabilitation of prisoners in Adyala Jail through formal education programs, technical skill enhancement by offering vocational training courses, organizing sporting activities and distribution on different occasions.
Chief of Khubaib pointed out that Khubaib Foundation in its different educational projects is educating children orphaned during different natural disasters. He said that, we have provided relief to victims of different natural disasters and extended rehabilitation services to flood victims of Nowshera, D.I.Khan, Muzaffargarh, and Dadu. Khubaib Foundation is working with assistance from its parent organization the Insani Yardim Vakfi (IHH) of Turkey, he added.
The nuclear scientist Dr. Qadeer who was awarded Hilal-i-Imtiaz and Nishan-i-Imtiaz for his services, lauded services of Khubaib Foundation for the needy faction of the society.
At the conclusion of the meeting between the two, Nadeem Ahmed Khan candidly prayed for the health of A.Q.Khan and greatly appreciated the services he rendered for Pakistan and the Ummah.

Humanity , Terrorism Seminar ends at QAU
ISLAMABAD: Head of the philanthropic organization Khubaib Foundation Nadeem Ahmed Khan attended a one-day seminar arranged by the Quaidian Intellectual Forum on the issue ‘Humanity verses Terrorism Diplomacy’ here on Wednesday.
According to details, the seminar was jointly arranged by Scream and Global Survivors Network which comprise of people who have survived acts of terrorism and now advocating for assistance to be extended to bereaved families who have lost their loved ones to such heinous acts. We interact with students, parents, philanthropists and people from other walks of life to consider the repercussions of terrorist acts, said Waqar Khalid adding that, when breadwinners of families are killed in such mishaps the whole family system is crippled and in some cases uprooted.
Back in 2009, Waqar Khalid was a third semester student at the International Islamic University, when two suicide bombers detonated their explosives vest in the University cafeteria. Waqar was badly burnt while his two friends including 6 people died in the incident.
The seminar of humanity verses terrorism diplomacy was held under the auspices of Quaidian Intellectual Forum, a Quaid-e-Azam University students club enriched by occasional appearances of professionals from all walks of life.
Nadeem Ahmed Khan, chief of Khubaib Foundation of Pakistan attended the seminar with more than 150 participants including students, doctors and lawyers.
While addressing the seminar Nadeem Ahmed said, these are trying times for the Pakistani nation and the youth have an ultimate role to play in changing the course of time. He urged the students to shun differences, tolerate dissenting views, and study with distinction to steer the country back on track.
The aim of the seminar was to look beyond breaking news stories and into the lives of families who have lost breadwinners to terrorist attacks and the rest of the family is left at the disposal of the society.
To a question, chairman of Khubaib Foundation Nadeem Ahmed Khan replied, Khubaib’s four educational institutions are providing free of cost education to children orphaned in natural disasters and Khubaib intends to expand the circumference of its operation by offering educational stipend and accommodating those children in its educational projects who cannot afford to study after the death of a parent or a support.

Chairman Khubaib expresses concern over Turkey quake
ISLAMABAD: The Chairman Khubaib Foundation Nadeem Ahmed Khan on the behalf of Khubaib Foundation staff and the Pakistani brethren grieves the loss of valuable lives in Turkey’s devastating earthquake in the eastern Van region on Sunday. A 7.2 magnitude earthquake shook the van province bordering Syria, Iraq from south and Iran to the east. The quake flattened several adobe houses besides concrete buildings leaving piles of twisted metal and large chunks of cement blocks. Initial reports put the death toll at around 200 with hundreds of people believed to be trapped beneath the rubble. The death toll is expected to rise as rescuers scour the ruins to extract more bodies. Khubaib Foundation of Pakistan is the country partner of the Insani Haq-o-Hurriyat (IHH) of Turkey which has extended relief to the destitute, widows and orphans. Nadeem Ahmed Khan talked with the president of IHH of Turkey and assured support in this hour of need. During his call Nadeem Ahmed Khan said that, the Pakistani nation is bereaved over the loss of life during this quake and firmly stands with its Turkish brethren in this trying time. He said, though the quake hit thousands of kilometers away, its impact is felt by the people of Pakistan, referring to the close ties between Pakistan and Turkey. Chairman Khubaib Foundation will also contact people in the Justice and Development Party and discuss the present situation.

Animals start to lineup for Qurbani Program 2011
HARIPUR: Chairman Khubaib Foundation Nadeem Ahmed Khan along with Director Relief and Rehabilitation Col (r) Niaz, IHH Advisor to Khubaib Foundation Mehmet Kara, and IHH Relief Coordinator Ismail, visited the makeshift cattle range established in the northeast section at Khubaib College Haripur.
Khubaib Foundation in league with its year’s long tradition of Eid-ul-Adha Qurbani program has initiated the purchase of cows and sheeps for its Qurbani 2011 Program. Tentatively, the number of Qurbani animal’s stands at 260 which is increasing with the passage of time. Khubaib Foundation will sacrifice animals on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha at different stations including Adyala Jail, Somali students, for handicapped and people dwelling in slum areas, Nowshera, Kashmir, Gilgit, Skardu, Hamzawala, Dera Ismail Khan, Sukkur, Dadu, Badin, Baluchistan, Besham and Swat. More stations will be approached for Qurbani as the number of animals and shares in Qurbani rise. Since its inception, the Foundation has held Qurbani program Aqeeqa program while the meat acquired from such program is distributed amongst widows, orphan and destitute people.
Last year, owing largely to donor contribution, Khubaib Foundation scarified 1,769 animals and a large portion of the meat was directed to the flood hit areas in all over Pakistan besides prisoners, destitute women, men and orphaned children. The flood stricken families which numbered in thousands benefitted from last years’ Qurbani program and responded in candid prayers.
To alleviate the sufferings of Sindh flood affectees, Khubaib Foundation has distributed cooked food and non-food items amongst flood stricken families and this time around, the Foundation has allocated a large share of Qurbani meat for flood affected families in Sindh.

Justice Rashid of NIRC meets Nadeem Ahmed Khan
ISLAMABAD: Justice Rashid Aziz Khan of the National Industries Relation Commission (NIRC) met with Chairman Khubaib Foundation Nadeem Ahmed Khan at the head office of KF in Islamabad. Contemporary issues of laborers employed in different industrial sectors formed part of the discussion between the two. In Pakistan blue-collared jobs are often underpaid and the laborers have to work under strained environment which largely go unattended by authorities. The NIRC adjudicates and determines industrial disputes to which an industry-wise trade union or federation of such trade unions is a party, as well as disputes of national importance. It also deals with cases of unfair labor practices.
Chairman Khubaib Foundation also touched upon issues haunting children in the industry. In Pakistan, child labor which at times equates to ‘hard labor’ involving tiring physical work without any regard to the age of child and the working condition in which the child is employed to work in. Prospects of taking up the responsibility of educating and extending lodging / boarding facility to orphan children caught in the midst of earning bread at the cost of education were also discussed.
